Every time we wait for an iPhone from Apple, the whole situation is a little strange. Everyone talks about the event, before and after and people wait over 7 days outside Apple stores to get one of them. An iPhone. A mobile phone that now does everything and in simple words sells like crazy on all continents.
Every year Apple releases new models, with different features mainly on the inside, since as you know there are not frequent changes on the outside. The big change came from the iPhone 3GS to the iPhone 4, when Steve Jobs presented us with a completely different device than the one we knew until then and of course with the arrival of the iPhone 5.
All of this was a prologue. But let's get into the hype about the new iPhone we expect from Apple, and we don't mean the successor to the iPhone 5 that we will definitely see, but a second model.
How about an iPhone mini with cheaper materials, but also a cheaper price? It's a scenario that's been circulating a lot lately and which may be Apple's answer to the Chinese market that Samsung is dominating with significantly cheaper devices.
The "mini" came purely from the name that some people gave it because of the price, which will be very low. Apple wants to expand further in the smartphone market, since it sees Android approaching at a rapid pace and now in many markets surpassing and leaving it behind. It is therefore time to see something cheap from the Cupertino company, so that it is more accessible even in our country, where the price is prohibitive for the current device.
We've certainly never been used to Apple making cheap products or, more likely, low-quality products, and it's something that's debatable. The screen can't be changed once again (and made smaller) since the recent change to the iPhone 5.
What can be done then? It's a good question. The answer is the inside of the device. What Tim Cook's team can do is use slower processors, a smaller battery, a lower-resolution camera, so that the price also drops. It's something to be expected, it's not unlikely to happen. By dropping the quality of the inside, the price automatically drops.
Although we've heard a lot about an iPhone Plus or Math with a 4.8-inch screen, we don't think Apple will make such a move. However, we can all expect it in the case of a more affordable model!
The other thing one might wonder is whether Steve Jobs would have wanted something like this. But that's something only he knows.
Conclusion? Always expect the impossible from Apple.
