Amazon prides itself on its low prices on Android tablets and shows it off at every opportunity. And when we say every opportunity, we mean even if it means undercutting the price of a competitor's device, like Apple's iPad.
Focusing on the high-resolution displays of the two tablets, Amazon says you won't be able to tell the difference between them until it comes to price.
The iPad, with its 9.7″ screen, has a resolution of 2048×1536 and 264 ppi (pixel-per-inch), while its rival, the Kindle Fire, has an equally good screen with a resolution of 1920×1200 and 254 ppi.
According to Amazon, both devices have impressive HD and you won't be able to tell the difference between them. However, the company insists that your wallet will definitely find something different, and that's in terms of price, with the Kindle Fire costing $299 while the iPad costs $499.
This isn't the first time Amazon has attacked the price of an Apple product. Last October, after the iPad mini was announced, Amazon ran a huge ad on its site that tried to convince consumers that the Kindle Fire offers more for less.
A few days later, the ad was withdrawn.
