A new campaign recently launched on Kickstarter will allow you to watch Into the Wild… in the real wild! It's called Hitch Theaters and it can quickly and easily transform the bed of a truck or SUV into a real moving car- movie theater that goes anywhere.
Hitch Theaters has developed three distinctive projection screens and projectors as well as stands to allow for outdoor movie viewing.
The first is called the True Drive-In Theater. The projector is mounted on the roof of the truck in a specially designed stand, while the screen locks into the bed. This screen is designed so that moviegoers can relax in the bed of the truck.
The second is The Group Date, which offers screenings that can be watched by more than two people. The screen is also locked to the bed, like the True Drive-In, but the projector is supported on a special stand away from the truck, and it also has a detachable sound system.
Finally, the company has also designed a projector and screen for people who don't own trucks, called Movie Night. Instead of using the bed of a truck for support, it includes a freestanding screen, as well as stand-alone projection stands.
