After failing with its internet-connected mattress for babies, the Spanish company Durmet has announced that it will release a mattress for adults that can alert you if something strange happens in your bed while you're away!
Now that we've heard it all, here comes Smarttress to confirm that sometimes imagination and ingenuity shouldn't be encouraged! This "smart" mattress with 24 ultrasonic sensors built into its springs can detect... "action" in multiple contact zones and send you a notification on your phone every time someone uses your bed in a questionable way!

According to Smarttress's overly dramatic ad, the app also offers analytics about that activity in bed, such as a speedometer and intensity measurements per minute. In other words, any paranoid person who buys it will not only be able to spy on their unfaithful partner, but also know exactly how they've been performing!
The person who buys it probably doesn't care about protecting the other person's privacy and all the issues of trust, but what if the mattress runs out of batteries at the most inopportune moment and loses some of its vibration? They'll be left with the $1,750 mattress! Yes, that's how much it costs!
