With just a few steps, you can put your favorite website just a click away. If there's a website you visit several times a day, there's no reason to go the compatible and slow route to achieve it, especially if you own an Android.
You can add a button to your home screen that looks exactly like an app icon and will launch that website directly in Chrome. To do this, first navigate to the website you want to quickly access (you know, like Greenbot, for example).
You can customize the text below the icon. Simply tap the text in the Add to Home screen box and change it.
Then, tap the overflow button (the button with the three vertical dots) and select Add to Home Screen.

All you have to do is tap Add and the website will join your other apps and widgets . One tip: You can customize the text below the icon. Just tap the text in the Add to Home screen box and change it.

In our example, the site description has been removed, so only “Greenbot” appears below the icon. While this kind of functionality takes us completely back to the days of the original iPhone, it’s still useful for quickly accessing a website you visit frequently. So, don’t waste any time… give it a try!
