In which area are children the most active digital users?

In this day and age, children are becoming increasingly active users of mobile phones. According to a study conducted by British startup company, Super Awesome, children aged 6 to 14 in Southeast Asia are 20 percent more active users of mobile phones than children in America (as most of us might have thought!).

About 70 percent of Southeast Asian children play games on their smartphones, compared to 56 percent of American children.
About 87 percent of Southeast Asian children own and use smartphones, compared to American children who own more tablets, at 47 percent.
According to SuperAwesome CEO Dylan Collins, “The under-13 audience is now one of the most important segments of the market, even though there is little clear data on their digital media behavior.”
“As we have already done for the US and the UK, we are pleased to bring one of the first comprehensive studies of exactly what what we call ‘children’s digital behaviour’ might look like in the [Southeast Asia] region.”.
“This has been at the top of our wish list for quite some time and you will definitely be fascinated by reading it!”
Nearly 1,800 children were surveyed for this report. The digital advertising market for children has a huge opportunity, with estimates ranging from an increase of more than $2 billion by 2018.
