Viber is one of the many popular instant messaging apps for mobile devices available on the market. The app has over 100 million downloads from the Google Play Store and probably the same or more from the App Store.

Anyway, Viber recently updated its version for Android and iOS platforms, which brings a few new features and improvements.
The first thing worth mentioning is the fact that the developers have added Group Likes, which means that users will be able to “Like” messages in group chats and see who likes your vibe.
Furthermore, the update should also add the option to share content with your friends easier than ever before, by forwarding messages to Shared Chats.
The option to write free text has also been implemented, so now Viber users can write text messages of up to 7,000 characters.
The developers also confirmed that they have improved the video messaging experience with new features, but no additional details have been given yet.
All of these new features and improvements are available on both Android and iOS platforms. However, there is a new feature that was only implemented in the Android version of Viber and it makes sense.
It seems that Shared Chats are finally available for Android tablets. Until recently, this feature was only available on Android smartphones, so the developers decided to fix this issue.
You can now download Viber for your Android for free via the Google Play Store. The app should be fully compatible with all devices running Android version 4.0 and above.
For iOS users, the app can be downloaded for free via the App Store. It should work smoothly on all devices running iOS 7.0 or later.
