Instagram: Changes to Explore & Search services
INSTAGRAM has decided to make a particularly important update and change the appearance of the Explore and Search services.
Explore
Users will have access to trends and be connected to events and discussions about them, not only near their area but also worldwide!
In addition, trending tags and trending places were added, so that users can see the videos and photos they like the most.
The changes to Explore are completed with the creation of thematic collections from #Instagram. The themes vary: from extreme sports to architectural creations, so that all users can find what interests them.
For now, these changes are only available for the US, but according to Twitter, they are expected for other countries as well.

Search
Unlike Explore, the Search changes are available to all users. Specifically, INSTAGRAM has added two new tabs to its app's search:
Top, which offers search results for people, places and tags simultaneously, and
Places, where it displays the corresponding locations depending on the word you entered for search.
