Possible data security breach in the point of sale system suffered by the FireKeepers Casino Hotel according to a report by the Battle Creek Enquirer.
The casino learned about the security breach after receiving several calls from its customers, who were concerned about the movements of bank accounts or the statements of their credit cards. Responding immediately, the experts began to investigate the matter.

There is no confirmation of exactly when the calls started and the number of people affected by this data breach.
The independent security audit team has been called to analyze the casino's systems.
Vice President of Marketing Jim Wise stated that
“Fire Keepers has replaced its point of sale equipment with equipment that is not connected to the casino systems. We have made the system secure by migrating to a new system. There is no timeline yet for the completion of the investigation.”
