No reaction from the government
It is incredible and at the same time absolutely infuriating. On the news.google.gr page, for days now – those entering from Crete – have been seeing on the right side and in the weather icon the title: Weather Ottoman Crete Greece.
In other words, the Weather in Ottoman Crete of Greece!!!
Since last Saturday, the issue has been widely publicized and the relevant news has been posted on many other websites. However, there has not yet been the slightest reaction from the competent Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
But not even from the main stakeholders, which are the Region and the General Secretariat of the Decentralized Administration of Crete, as well as from the island's Members of Parliament.
It should be noted that the title "Ottoman Crete" also appears in the foreign language versions of the page, with the result that those who speak, for example, English, French, Russian, etc., entering news.google.gr from Crete are informed about the weather in....Ottoman Crete!!!
