Google X is the research division of Google , and Project Baseline is a new major research program in collaboration with various academic institutions and clinics.

The new Project aims to collect data on a fully healthy human body, so that disease prevention faster and easier.

The network of volunteers participating in Project Baselineconsists of 175 people and is expected to grow exponentially, following the participation of clinics from Duke and Stanford universities.

So far, information has been collected from volunteers by providing bodily fluids and tissue samples, while some are also sharing genome , parental history, and information on food/drug metabolism and heart rate in stressful situations.

All information is collected anonymously, will belong to the universities and will not be shared with insurance companies.

What Google essentially wants is to build a huge database of information about healthy people and process it appropriately, taking advantage of the equally huge computing power of its laboratories, so as to find specific biomarkers that will indicate that something is starting to go wrong.

However, the first doubts have appeared regarding the creation of an electronic medical record and the consequences this may have for personal data.
