A warning will be displayed for websites with similar content
Seven years into the battle, with Apple maintaining a steadfast negative stance on the issue, Google is dealing another blow to the weakening of Flash content for mobile, related to search results, with a warning that websites will not be able to function properly.
Web pages with Flash content create a problem for mobile users who often see only a blank page or see large chunks of content missing from a page. Now Google wants to help us circumvent these problems by avoiding the use of Flash whenever possible.
The search giant has announced an additional feature to its algorithm that can detect pages that use Flash, so we can know whether that site will serve us correctly for search queries. As a result, iOS and Android devices will display a warning for certain websites, stating that Flash is used and may not work properly on your device.
iOS devices have never supported Flash since its introduction in 2007, while Google also backed down and stopped Flash support with Android versions 4.1 and above.
