A criminal case was filed by the Cybercrime Prosecution Directorate against a 31-year-old Greek national for child pornography via the internet.
The arrested person was in possession of numerous files of hard-core child pornography
The Cybercrime Prosecution Directorate has filed a criminal case against a 31-year-old Greek national for pornography of minors via the internet.
Specifically, the Cybercrime Prosecution Directorate was informed by Interpol that internet users via IP addresses in our country were in possession of and were able to share on the internet three (3) files (videos) of hard-core child pornography.
The Athens First Instance Prosecutor's Office was informed of the above and after issuing a relevant decree to lift the confidentiality of communications via the internet, the data was identified and the 31-year-old's actions were verified.
In a search carried out yesterday (09-07-2014) at his home in Kefalonia, in the presence of a judicial officer, a computer hard drive and one (1) laptop were found, on which, after an on-site inspection, numerous files of child pornography were found.
The seized evidence will be sent to the Criminal Investigations Directorate for laboratory tests.
The arrested person with the case file filed against him will be taken to the Athens First Instance Prosecutor's Office.
