Internationally disgraced director of French giant: "Suffocated" his cell phone while demonstrating [video]

The CEO of French company Archos, Loic Poirier, made a colossal blunder during a demonstration of the company's new mobile phone. Specifically, due to a misunderstanding, Poirier thought the phone was waterproof and so... "drowned" it in public.

Specifically, the Quechua Phone 5″ is IP54 certified, which means it is resistant to dust, sand, and splashes of water. “Splashes” though, not long-distance diving, something that Poirier seems to have misunderstood, resulting in a particularly awkward moment on live broadcast.

As you will see in the video, Poirier starts by throwing the device on the ground... But when he dunks it in the water, something goes terribly wrong..
