However, the device was not a great success, with returns outstripping sales and its price dropping from $700 to $500. While the Ai Pin remains available, Humane's future seems uncertain, even though the company has secured over $230 million in funding.

Humane is now turning its attention to a new operating system, CosmOS. It aims to improve the connectivity of technology devices. In a demo video, CosmOS is shown running on cars, smart speakers, TVs and Android smartphones. The company describes it as an “intelligent orchestrator” that integrates AI models, data and services for a seamless user experience.

Examples of CosmOS use cases include voice commands for adjusting home temperatures, searching for recipes, restaurant recommendations, and asking about sports. The operating system appears to use a device's screen and frame to better understand a user's questions and provide more accurate answers.

While the company says third-party developers can build integrations with CosmOS, the demo video looks more like an attempt to attract companies that might be interested in acquiring Humane and leveraging software . With CosmOS, Humane seems to be promoting an innovative idea rather than a readily available product.
