An FCC listing for the Xiaomi 15 was recently spotted, giving us information about its upcoming global launch.
The Xiaomi Mi 15, which was launched in China last month, is a powerful flagship phone, but the global version will have less RAM and storage. The Chinese version offers up to 16GB of RAM and storage that can go up to 1TB.

According to the FCC listing, the global version will offer options for 12GB of RAM and either 256GB or 512GB of storage.
Although 512GB of storage was once considered a lot, it's not particularly impressive these days. Also, as is common with modern smartphones, there's no memory card slot, making it impossible to expand the storage. While 12GB of RAM is adequate, the phone would be significantly faster with 16GB.
Despite these changes, the Xiaomi 15 remains a powerful and attractive phone. Among its impressive features are the latest and most powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, a OLED display with a maximum brightness of up to 3200 nits, and 90W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

Priced at around $620, the Xiaomi 15 offers excellent value. If American consumers can get past their Samsung and Apple, they'll find that Xiaomi offers some stiff competition.
The global launch date has not yet been announced, but it will likely be early next year, alongside the Galaxy S25 series. Additionally, Xiaomi recently announced that it plans to release its own 3nm chipsets in 2025.
This could not only lower the cost of its phones, but could also make it stronger than Samsung in an area that is extremely important to the latter. Samsung Foundry is still struggling to produce 3nm chips with reasonable efficiency.

It remains to be seen how Trump's proposed tariffs will affect Xiaomi's penetration in the U.S. in the future.
