Xgimi is releasing its brightest 4K smart projector yet, while hiding another one inside a wall lamp. The Xgimi Horizon Max is rated at 3,100 ISO lumens and is IMAX Enhanced certified , while the Xgimi Aladdin is a 3-in-1 refresh that combines a projector with a ceiling light and a Bluetooth speaker .
Both projectors are long-range projectors and use Google TV.

Xgimi says the Horizon Max 4K projector can produce 3,100 ISO lumens from its “Dual Light 2.0” hybrid light source, which uses lasers and LEDs. Its brightness, combined with a reported contrast ratio of 2000:1, DTS audio support, and color accuracy, has earned it IMAX Enhanced certification. This means it can play IMAX Enhanced content from Disney Plus and other streaming platforms .
Additionally, the Horizon Max, like other modern smart projectors, can automatically find the best spot on the wall to project its image, adding a new feature that remembers settings for specific walls. Intelligent Screen Adaptation technology (v5.0) can remember game settings when facing one wall and switch to movie settings when facing another wall.

The Aladdin is a new ceiling projector from Xgimi, based on older technology it acquired after buying Japanese company Popin. Indeed, Xgimi’s Aladdin appears to have the same specs as Popin’s current Aladdin 2 Plus, which costs around $899. It plugs directly into your existing ceiling light socket to produce a 1080P (1920 x 1080) up to 100” inches.
The built-in lamp can be controlled directly from the projector's remote or via the Xgimi app , but is not compatible with Matter or any other home ecosystem. It produces 360-degree sound from the built-in Harman Kardon speakers , which can be used even when the projector lamp is inactive.

Both projectors are making the switch from Android TV to Google TV, with the advantage of allowing Netflix to run directly. Installing Netflix on Android TV-based smart projectors (which is the majority) usually requires “sideloading” the popular app from some strange site due to Netflix’s certification conflict – something many people are not comfortable doing.
Xgimi isn't providing final pricing or exact release dates for either projector it announced today. It does say that the Horizon Max will cost less than $3,000 and is expected to ship "in late 2024," while detailed specifications, pricing, and availability for the Xgimi Aladdin "will be announced at a later date.".
