The Hogwarts Legacy, a game inspired by the world of Harry Potter, will be released in PC, PlayStation 4, PS5, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series during the 2022 holiday season (holiday season 2022). Hogwarts Legacy was announced in late 2020 and was originally said to be released in 2021. However, later postponed to 2022. But now we have a more specific timeframe for release.

During yesterday's State of Play livestream a trailer has been posted offering a first look at what this new Harry Potter game will look like.
Hogwarts Legacy takes place long before the events of the books and films. Therefore, most of the characters that Harry Potter fans have come to love are not present. In particular, it takes place in 19ο century and places players in their fifth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, where they will learn spells, make potions, grow magical plants, tame magical creatures and attend classes. Players are challenged to discover a mystery of ancient magic and with it they hold the key to saving the wizarding world from dark forces. In addition to Hogwarts, players will find themselves in other familiar places in the world of Harry Potter, including Hogsmeade and the Forbidden Forest.

Hogwarts Legacy includes various characters: teachers, students, evil wizards, mentors and various magical creatures, as well as some well-known ghosts. Players will take on the role of a Hogwarts student and will be able to choose which dormitory they want to belong to. In addition, they will be able to fly with broomsticks, make friends who will accompany them on various quests and gain more and more magical abilities.
