Amazon is finally making good on a promise it made in 2020 to let Twitch viewers quickly play games on its Luna platform. As 9to5Google reports, Twitch has added a “Play on Luna” button that lets you jump to games on Amazon’s cloud gaming service. If you’re a Luna subscriber in the service’s early access program and are logged in to your Twitch account, you’ll see the option to start playing titles available through Amazon’s platform.

As you can see in the screenshot below, the button only appears on the overall page of a game and not on those of Twitch channels.

The addition brings Luna one step closer to Amazon’s original vision of seamless Twitch integration. It also gives Amazon a slight edge over Stadia. Google has yet to fully connect its own game streaming service to YouTube and enabled Crowd Play during 2021. Don’t be surprised if Twitch expands access to “Play on Luna” in the near future.
