Microsoft has released the February 2021 non-security updates for Microsoft Office with improvements and fixes for issues and bugs affecting the Windows Installer (MSI) versions of Office 2016, Office 2013, and Office 2010 products.
Several updates (KB4493164, KB4493169 , and KB4493179) have been released to address issues that may cause PowerPoint to crash when opening documents that contain charts.
KB4493190 fixes another issue that causes Outlook reminders to behave unpredictably on systems whose time zones change regularly.
Three of the Office 2021 February 2021 security updates apply to the entire Microsoft Office 2016, Microsoft Office 2013, and Microsoft Office 2010 software, while four others address issues affecting PowerPoint and Outlook applications.
The February 2021 updates can be installed manually from the Download Center or by using the Microsoft Update service for automatic installation.
They only apply to Office products based on Microsoft Installer (.msi) and do not apply to Office subscriptions or Click-to-Run versions of Office 2016 such as Microsoft Office 365 Home.

Some updates may require a restart
After installing some of the released Microsoft Office updates, you may also be prompted to restart computer .
If your Office installation starts misbehaving after applying an update, you can uninstall it by following these steps:
- Go to Start, type View Installed Updates in the Search Windows box, and then press Enter.
- In the list of updates, locate and select the update that is causing you problems, and then select Uninstall.
Depending on the Office update installed , you may also need to install other updates to fully resolve the issue on your Windows computer (for example, KB4493189 requires KB 4493164 to be installed to fully resolve the issue)
