Security experts from AV-TEST have released their July 2018 benchmarks. The tests were conducted on various Windows 10 antiviruses to determine which products are most effective at blocking malware without slowing down your computer. For July
2018, three different companies had products very high on the charts: Avira, Kaspersky, and McAfee applications scored six out of six points in three different protection, performance, and usability tests.
Avast Free Antivirus, AVG Internet Security, Bitdefender Internet Security, and Symantec Norton Security were close behind with a combined score of 17.5 points.
Comodo Internet Security and PC Pitstop PC Matic had the lowest scores (15.5) and failed to impress in the tests.
It is worth noting the performance of Kaspersky Internet Security. Kaspersky's product scored 6 out of 6 points in each of the three tests. Kaspersky Internet Security blocked 100% of 0Day malware attacks and detected all malware samples discovered in the last 4 weeks.
However, AV-TEST researchers observed a slight slowdown on Windows 10 systems (21% impact on browsing performance on a typical PC and 16% on high-end PCs).
