Lenovo has just announced its new laptops , but unlike all other Microsoft partners, the Chinese company is not going to focus on Windows 10 but will also offer other operating system alternatives such as Windows 7.
As strange as it may sound, Windows 7 is still an option for Lenovo customers, and the company wants to give buyers more choices when buying new laptops and not force them to choose Windows 10.
There are three upgraded laptops from Lenovo, the P51, P51s, and P71 which come with many alternative configuration options.
To begin with, the P51 comes with a variety of processor options, including the Xeon E3-V6 and a seventh-generation Core chip. It will feature Nvidia Quadro M2200M graphics and 64GB of RAM, which is no surprise since Lenovo wants the device to be plenty powerful. It should be noted that the laptop will weigh 2.5 kg.
Lenovo is offering the device with a variety of operating system options, including not only Windows 10 but also Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Ubuntu. Its official release is expected in April.
The P51s weighs just 1.5kg but still packs the most powerful Intel Core processors, 32GB of RAM, and Nvidia Quadro M520M graphics. It comes with either Windows 7 Professional or Windows 10 Pro, so you can still choose the operating system of your choice.
The P71 will be released in April and will feature a 17-inch 4K display and be powered by a Xeon E3-v6 processor with Nvidia Quadro P5000M graphics.
