The iOS 10.1 fixed many issues, but it caused a major problem for Health App users, with the app's data being deleted in some cases. This app helps its users stay in shape, as they say. It performs functions ranging from simple steps to blood pressure monitoring, so it's really quite useful.
Users report that the app problem is not fixed even if they reset the phone or try to restore data from backups.
This is the problem that today's iOS 10.1.1 update fixes, which is available for all devices running iOS 10, including the iPhone 5 and later, the fourth-generation iPad and later, the iPad Mini 2 and later, and finally the iPad Pros and the sixth-generation iPod Touch.
Apple has informed us that this update will be able to recover “lost” app data, as well as prevent data from disappearing in the future. If you have been experiencing this issue since installing iOS 10.1, you should install the iOS 10.1.1 update as soon as possible.
We would also like to inform you that in case you do not want to install the new iOS (although we recommend this) try to do the following procedure to make an attempt to recover the application data: 1) Run the application on your iOS device 2) Select the Health data button at the bottom left of the application and tap on the image button on the top right corner 3) press Export Data 4) A pop up tab will appear on the screen. Click on export to continue the process 5) Choose how you would like the data to be sent to you. We would choose via email.
We reiterate that we recommend installing the new iOS 10.1.1 to improve the problem and since it also improves other processes on your devices
