The FBI managed to crack the iPhone of one of the San Bernardino terrorists after several disputes with Apple, but apparently they didn't find anything useful on the device.
A CBS News report citing people close to the matter reveals that the FBI found "nothing of real value" on the iPhone, but investigators are continuing to analyze the data in the hope that there could be something that connects the terrorist to others.
Apple has not commented on the matter, but the company was among the first to say that cracking the device is a waste of time because the terrorists likely used another phone to plan the attacks.
Really, why would someone store vital contacts related to an attack on a phone if they knew the device could fall into the hands of the law?
However, the federal authorities had to examine every piece of evidence.
