If you're excited about live streaming apps like Meerkat and Periscope, you might want to check out Chhirp for iOS. The app lets you post short voice clips to Twitter.
It was released just a few days ago, and what it does, as we mentioned above, is allow you to record up to 12 seconds of audio from your device and share it with your friends directly on Twitter.
Your followers can then listen to the clip from the Chhirρ app, Twitter, or via the web. It supports Twitter cards, so Chhirρs can also play on your timeline.
The app can also play audio loops and is very similar to Vine. In fact, it's just like Vine, but only for playing audio.
There is currently no option to delete Chhirp, according to TNW, which tested the new app.
It seems like a good idea especially for Twitter which has a 140 character limit per post.
If you're thinking about trying it out, we'd love for you to let us know how you liked the experience in the comments of this post.
You can download the app from here. (Only for iOS at the moment)
