Windows 10 Preview: a keylogger is tracking your every move

Windows 10 Previews Contain a Keylogger with Your Permission This week, Microsoft announced the next version of its operating system, called Windows 10. The new operating system is being distributed through the “Insider Program.” That’s all we knew until now.windows 10 preview windows 10 preview windows 10 preview windows 10 preview windows 10 preview
But if you read the terms of use for the new operating system, Microsoft says:

“With the Microsoft Insider Program, you can get all the latest Preview builds of Windows as soon as they’re available. In return, we want to know what you think. You’ll have an easy-to-use app to give us your feedback, which will help and guide us.”

How many of you read the “Terms of Service” and the “Privacy Policy” before downloading the Windows 10 Preview? I’m guessing none of you, because most users have the habit of simply clicking “I Agree.”

So guess what exactly you agreed to.

Permission to use keylogger

If you haven't read it in Microsoft's privacy policy, you should know that the company is tracking your every move in the latest version of Windows 10 Technical Preview. Microsoft uses keyloggers to collect and use user data.

“If you open a file, we may collect information about the file, the application you use to open the file, and how long you use it. Our goal is to improve performance. If you type text, we may collect the typed characters to improve autocomplete and spell check,” the privacy policy states.

Essentially, by accepting the Windows 10 policy you are allowing Microsoft to monitor your files and access what you type.

But that's not all.

Microsoft says it can collect even more data. The company will monitor your apps for compatibility, and it will collect information from your voice through the microphone. This information will be used to improve speech processing, according to Microsoft.

“When you choose to install and use a program, Microsoft will collect information about you, your devices, apps, and networks, and your use of those devices, apps, and networks,” the privacy policy continues. “We will collect your name, email address, browsing preferences, search history, call and SMS data, device configuration and sensor data, and your use of the app.”

To avoid misunderstandings: Windows 10 Preview has an error reporting system, which is justified, as the company needs to monitor the new operating system's functions. However, a keylogger is probably too much. If you have the system installed, avoid making online transactions.
