Facebook today updated its Messenger app for iOS with a slew of new features. You can download the new version of Facebook Messenger 5.0 directly from the Apple App Store
What does Facebook Messenger 5.0 for iOS bring according to the changelog:
More ways to message: Everything is front and center, so it's easier to send photos, voice messages, and more.
Video: Send videos from your phone's camera and when they send you videos, you can play them right from within the app.
Instant photo sharing: Take a photo and send it with just one tap, without leaving your conversation.
Sticker shortcuts: When someone sends you a sticker, tap and hold to get the pack.
Improved search: Enter names of people and groups and you'll find them much faster.

If you are an Android device user, don't worry. Facebook reports that the updated version for Google's platform will arrive “this week.”
