Eset announced that it has discovered a new trojan that steals Litecoins. Typically, password-stealing trojans install a keylogger on the victim's computer, which records what they type and sends the recorded information to the attackers. Some keyloggers, however, only record keystrokes related to specific types of online transactions, and others are designed to have only one function.
This trojan, detected by ESET as MSIL/PSW.LiteCoin.A, is extremely simple. The only thing it is programmed to do is try to send the victim wallet.dat to an FTP server controlled by the attacker. The Trojan's code is written in C#.
