Google yesterday made voice search available on the desktop version of Chrome, and now the company has revealed that it plans to bring the same feature to iOS. The Chrome app for iOS will support voice search within the next few days.
Quote from Google:
You'll now be able to search by speaking. Tap the microphone, say what you want to search for, and see results, all without having to type anything.
Like Siri, Google's voice search requires a specific way of speaking to understand what you're saying, and it uses the same technology as Google Now.
The upcoming Chrome upgrade, in addition to voice search, will also improve the time it takes to open a page, while also allowing third-party applications to send their links directly to it.
We will let you know once the upgrade is available.
