Forbes is shaking up the waters very badly for Apple's future after reporting that Tim Cook may see the exit door from Apple.
Personally, we don't think so, at least not with Apple's current situation, but let's see what the Forbes article says.
Wall Street sources close to the Cupertino company have begun reporting that Apple's board is seriously considering replacing Tim Cook before he turns Apple into another Hewlett-Packard. Apple has lost its luster since the death of Steve Jobs and according to the report, Tim Cook has been unable to breathe new life into the company so far.
Continuing with the article and sources of columnist Gene Marcial, the Apple board cannot tolerate the fall in Apple's stock for much longer and have named Tim Cook as responsible for this situation.
"At least one of [the Apple board members] believes there's a move by some at the company to search for someone with credible credentials and superb tech qualifications to take over and turn things around, lest Apple go the way of Hewlett-Packard and JC Penney,"
The article concludes by saying that if Tim Cook does not present something truly impressive by the end of this year and does not manage to raise Apple's stock, the exit door is probably close. The situation is also aggravated by the announcement of financial results tomorrow, which although all analysts agree that it will show profits, as everything shows, will be lower than at any other time. This will certainly result in the share falling and more!
"So unless Apple CEO Cook announces something really dramatic in new products or astronomical earnings on Tuesday, the stock will surely decline even more. And so will Tim Cook's standing with shareholders and investors — and Wall Street," Marcial concludes. "That may finally signal his exit."
We sincerely believe that those who want Tim Cook to leave Apple want it badly and we don't think we will see anything like that. Of course, let's not forget that where there's smoke, there's fire..
