The reason is the new Ti from Vertu. The device uses Android, has a 1.7 GHz processor, 64 GB of memory, an 8MP camera and a sapphire screen, which, according to Vertu CEO Perry Osting, is four times more durable than common smartphone screens.
The device casing is made of titanium.
The total of 184 pieces that make up the new model are assembled by a single British craftsman, who even signs the SIM card only when he wants to practically declare that he feels completely satisfied with the final result!
The level of service offered by Ti is significantly higher than other mobile phones. A characteristic feature is the fact that free technical support is provided 24 hours a day, either via text message, voice commands, or even via email.
The personal "concierge", as this particular Vertu service is typically called, is always at the user's disposal, in order to satisfy their wishes and provide answers to any questions they may have.
However, such a high level of service comes at a price. To be precise, the service is free for the first 12 months with the purchase of the device. However, customers who wish to continue using the personal “concierge” will have to pay a rather… salty price. Specifically, the classic version costs $2,900 per year, the “dedicated” version costs $4,000, while the “unlimited” version is only available after negotiation!
