Apple devices are notorious for their customer satisfaction, and the company has seemed to dominate for several years now. But that dominance is starting to fade. Android smartphones are becoming increasingly popular, and recently four of them ranked higher in the US than Apple's iPhone 5.
Research firm Research OnDevice conducted a device satisfaction study by polling 320,000 mobile and tablet users from six countries, including the US, UK, France, Germany, Japan, and Indonesia. However, the most surprising results came from the US, where 93,825 mobile users were asked how satisfied they were with their device, TNW reports.

As you can see, US mobile users are very happy with the Motorola Atrix HD. This is a surprise, but it could be a sign that smartphones are becoming “good enough” for most users.
The research from OnDevice found what we already know: Android devices are coming in at a pretty low price.
This means that people are buying a brand new Android smartphone for the same price as an iPhone 4, which costs less because it's two generations behind the iPhone 5. Last but still higher than the iPhone are the Motorola Droid Razr M (8.5), HTC Rezound 4G (8.32), and Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (8.26).
Despite this, Apple still holds the top spot in the US overall, closely followed by the Google Nexus. Overall, in the US, the top five were Motorola, HTC and Nokia. Samsung was in 13th place, even below BlackBerry.
This shows that we are now talking about a numbers game: manufacturers that make fewer but arguably better devices rank higher than companies that make a wide variety and at varying levels of quality.
