Motorola's Moto G series is one of the best smartphones if you have a small income.
The Lenovo-owned company on Tuesday announced the 4th- generation Moto G, which will launch in the U.S. on July 12 for $199.99. Pre-orders are now open. The phone will be sold unlocked and will support all U.S. carriers on GSM (AT&T and T-Mobile) and CDMA (Verizon and Sprint) networks.
It will be available at Amazon.com, Best Buy, Walmart.com, Motorola.com, B&H, MicroCenter Fry, Sam's Club, BrandsMart and Car Toys.
The fourth-generation Moto will feature a 5.5-inch full HD display, a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 octa-core processor, 2GB of RAM and either 16GB or 32GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD card up to 128GB), and a 3,000 mAh battery. On the back is a 13-megapixel camera with an f/2.0 aperture, and on the front is a 5-megapixel f/2.2 camera.
In addition to the Moto G, the larger-screen Moto G Plus will go on sale July 12th in the same stores starting at $249.99.
The Moto G4 Plus comes with a 5.5-inch full HD display, a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 octa-core processor, 2GB or 4GB of RAM, 16/32/64GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD card up to 128GB), and a 3,000 mAh battery. It also has a fingerprint sensor.
The front camera is the same 5-megapixel f/2.2 aperture camera, but the rear camera has a higher resolution 16-megapixel shooter with f/2.0 aperture, laser autofocus, and phase detection autofocus.
Motorola's budget models may not have the latest processor or the best camera, but they are among the best smartphones in their class.
