HBO has been in the news for all the wrong reasons ever since the release of its blockbuster TV show, Game of Thrones Season 6. Earlier, it accidentally leaked Episode 5 a day before its scheduled release date and is now fighting over clips from the series being used in porn on Pornhub.
HBO’s “Game of Thrones” is known for its nudity and erotic scenes in its episodes. Little did they know at the time that the show’s plot and scenes would become famous on Pornhub. In fact, after the release of Game of Thrones Season 6, searches for scenes from the show on Pornhub increased by 370%. The site reportedly features clips featuring Emilia Clarke, Carice Van Houten, Sibel Kekilli, and nude scenes featuring Natalie Dormer. The most famous character is, of course, Daenerys Targaryen.
According to Australia Network News, Pornhub also features porn stars who play Cersei Lannister and Lord Varys, famous characters from “Game of Thrones.”.
HBO is aware of the serious copyright infringement committed by the use of clips from the show in porn. Melty reported that HBO is now suing the website in question for illegally using the “Game of Thrones” copyright for financial gain.
Despite the "hara-kiri" that was committed with Game of Thrones Season 6 Episode 5, HBO seemed extremely vigilant about protecting its show. In fact, a month ago, the company led the shutdown of a site that released spoilers two days before the actual release. It has also turned against "pirates" who illegally download episodes.
The creators of the series have released the titles of the last three episodes of the show, which hint that Westeros is about to face dark days. Even more surprises await viewers in the new episodes when Jon Snow and Ramsay Bolton face each other. The same is expected when Arya Stark takes her revenge on those who killed her father.
“Game of Thrones” is in its final month. The final episode is titled “Winds of Winter” and will likely show the return of the White Walkers. Episode 7just aired, titled “The Broken Man.”
