[su_heading size=”18″ margin=”40″]Only a few days have passed since the launch of Xiaomi's Fitness Tracker, Mi Band 2, and it seems that the company is already working on its first SmartWatch, which is expected to be released in the second half of this year.[/su_heading]
Xiaomi's plan is quite ambitious, considering that the Chinese company will be competing with some of the strongest players in the market.

A report by GizmoChina reveals that Xiaomi is currently working on its first smartwatch, and the CEO of Huami, the maker of the Mi Bands, has confirmed that the smartwatch will see the light of day in the second half of 2016.
The report suggests that Xiaomi's smartwatch will be on par with Garmin's wearables. The two models' prices were also revealed, which will range from $152 and $243 respectively, meaning that two variants of the smartwatches could easily hit the market.
Huami CEO stated that Xiaomi's smartwatch prototype has already been made, which means it won't be long before the official announcement is made.
There is little information about the upcoming Mi SmartWatch, but it is said to have many more features than the Mi Band 2. The company's Fitness Tracker was released just a few days ago, priced at $22, and features a 0.42-inch OLED display, an ADI accelerometer, and IP67 certification.
It also comes with an impressive battery life (20 days!) and an optical heart rate sensor. It also features an ultra-thin 0.05mm button and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity.
It should be noted that this is not the first time we've heard that Xiaomi is working on a SmartWatch - the rumor first started last year, after Xiaomi began expanding into several new markets.
