Microsoft is one of the companies that is investing aggressively in the education sector, and many educational institutions have already signed up for the free Office program. However, many institutions
fail to sign up, leaving their students ineligible for the free software. This is about to change, as now each student will be able to apply on their own – regardless of whether the institution they are studying at participates in the program. All that will be required is a valid email address provided by the educational institution.

Once the student completes the registration on the Microsoft site, they can access Office 365 ProPlus. The version of Office includes all the basic tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Access, Publisher and is available for PCs, Macs and tablets.
In addition, 1TB of storage space is provided on the OneDrive service.

Unfortunately, this new Microsoft program will only be implemented in the United States for now and will be expanded to more countries in the coming months. “Educational institution employees can register at office.com/teachers starting in October (for America) – in the rest of the countries from December,” the company says. At the same time, Microsoft announced the expansion of the program for organizations: Students, teachers and staff will obtain a free subscription to Office 365 ProPlus from the moment they purchase a license. “With Office 365 ProPlus, teachers will receive all updates and will use the latest and greatest version of Office. Office can be installed on 5 PCs or Macs,” the company says. We hope to see this program in our country soon.
