The development team at Bungie and Activision are delivering a new tool, similar in style to Google Earth, that allows users of the upcoming Destiny to travel around the world to explore all the planets at will and familiarize themselves with them before the actual launch.
Players can watch the attached video to see how easy it is to locate each sector of Venus, Mars, and the Moon, with the option to get information about enemies, be notified of difficult areas, and even set bookmarks.
The service will likely be updated as Bungie releases more content for Destiny, to ensure that players always have a clear point of reference for the universe.
The first-person shooter will be available on PlayStation 4, PS3, Xbox One , and 360 on September 9th of this year.
Bungie has already stated that it has big long-term plans for Destiny and that they are already working on the first DLC, called The Dark Below, which will arrive in late 2014.
