A US court has indicted five Chinese hackers for espionage, accusing them of launching cyberattacks against six American companies and stealing trade secrets.
According to the US Department of Justice, Chinese hackers targeted American companies in the nuclear energy , metals and industrial solar energy products sectors , with the aim of stealing information useful to competing Chinese companies .
Several security experts believe that the charges brought by the United States are a step towards addressing cyberattacks .
In contrast, other experts remain extremely skeptical about whether and to what extent this move could prevent Internet attacks.
