Last week, Anonymous launched attacks against Israeli websites as part of the OpIsrael, which has been underway since November 2012. Several websites, including the Ministry of Education and the Israel Post, were subjected to DDoS attacks.
While Anonymous was busy with the attacks, a hacker with the alias Buddhac, a member of the hacking group Elite Force, managed to track down the IP addresses of some of the attackers, gaining access to at least 16 computers. The hacker then took screenshots, searched for online account credentials and passwords, and took photos of Anonymous members via their computers' webcams.
Buddhax wrote: “Next time don’t join OpIsrael. We know who you are. We know where you are. Israel forever!”
“DDOS attacks and defacing small websites are not hacking,” he continued. “I’m not a very big hacker, but I’m good enough to expose you.”
The hacker published the Facebook pages, photos, and other personal information of his targets. Several of the pages and accounts listed in Buddhax's files have been blocked or taken down.
