According to the Dutch Attorney General's Office, the country's authorities managed to hack into the website of the underground market Utopia Marketplace, putting it out of operation, just a few days after its official launch online.
The new Tor-based marketplace was possibly a replacement for Silk Road and was allegedly used to sell illegal services and products, as well as for other illegal activities.
At the time of writing, users attempting to access the website via Tor are being informed that the service has been seized by the Dutch.
DeepDotWeb reports that both the website and the corresponding forum have been taken down. Dutch authorities have not yet made any further statements.
At the same time, Silk Road operators have posted a message stating that all Outopia customers are welcome to participate, but recommending that they change their access details, as the information may have been compromised.
