In Hong Kong, the average connection speed reaches 65.4 megabits
Hong Kong, South Korea, Japan and Singapore are the countries with the fastest internet in the world, according to a study by Akamai, published by the technology portal Mashable.
Specifically, in Hong Kong, the average connection speed reaches 65.4 megabits per second, while in South Korea it "touches" 63.6.
Correspondingly, in Japan the connection speed is 52 megabits per second, while in Singapore it is 50.1 megabits per second.
Israel is in 5th place with 47.7 megabits per second, followed by Romania (45.4 megabits/second), Latvia (43.1 megabits/second), Taiwan (42.7 megabits/second), the Netherlands (39.6 megabits/second), and Belgium (38.5 megabits/second) complete the top ten.
The US is in 13th place with 37 megabits/second, while the UK is 16th with 35.7 megabits/second.
It is noted that as a measure of comparison for the needs of the study, which presents the top twenty countries worldwide and which does not include Greece, the highest average speeds that a user can "enjoy" in each country were selected.
