A total of 140 top Israeli defense industry and employees were targeted in a cyberattack originating from China. Authorities say they detected and thwarted the attack early.
The attack, apparently initiated by the Chinese defense industry, when cybercriminals sent an email message to a German company linked to Israel.
The officials declined to comment and no one knows the name of the German company. However, executives have confirmed that the companies have reviewed their information and network defense protocols and procedures.
