The European Space Agency's (ESA) ExoMars Trace Gas Orbiter has spotted a huge icy crater on the surface of Mars , created by the impact of an ancient asteroid .
The crater is located in the Utopia Planitia of Mars. It is the largest known impact site in the entire solar system, with a diameter of about 3,300 kilometers.
