Tiktoker tricks followers into breaking their devices

A TikToker known as JohnJam11703is tricking followers of a popular streamer into destroying their belongings.

Controversial streamer Adin Rosshas an audience that will do anything to get attention, including driving a car through a lake! These Ross challenges tend to come with the promise of a reward, either in the form of expensive products or cash. Unfortunately, with the advancement of artificial intelligence, a TikToker is taking advantage of Ross's daring streams, using AI technology to pose as the popular creator, trolling his fan base, and convincing them to destroy their devices for supposed rewards.

TikToker JohnJam11703 recently posted several clips from his fake profile as Adin Ross, where he tricks his followers into messing with their stuff. With the help of technology like the AI ​​Hugging Face, the random video chat app Monkey, and archived footage from Ross' various Kick streams, JohnJam11703 created a pretty convincing Ross that people took seriously online.

In one example, he convinced a kid to throw a PlayStation 4 out the window in exchange for a new TV and a PlayStation 5. In another, JohnJam11703 convinced a different kid to punch him and break his TV for $500. One of the most popular clips that TikToker JohnJam11703 has been tricking his followers into posting on April 20th shows the fake AI Adin Ross promising a kid a Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat and $20,000 if he punched a hole in his bedroom wall. After getting permission from his mom, the kid did it with the help of a bat. Of course, these kids will most likely never actually receive these gifts.

There seem to be two factions in the comments for TikToker JohnJam11703. One side thinks this is the worst thing he's ever done, while the other calls it a good use of artificial intelligence.

The real Adin Ross has said nothing about this AI impostor trolling his fans. However, after being permanently banned from Twitch in February 2023, Twitch CEO Dan Clancyis in talks with Ross to reinstate him.
