The notice says it will share “existing and future public TikTok photo posts” in TikTok Notes while also giving users the option to opt out. A new URL photo.tiktok.com (archived version) discovered by TechCrunch also soon appeared online with a prompt to open a post in the TikTok Notes app. Based on the image included on the site, it appears you’ll also be able to write a caption alongside your photo.
TikTok says it is “exploring ways to empower our community to create and share their creativity with photos and text in a dedicated space for these formats” but has not said when it plans to launch the app.

The first rumors about the possibility of a photo-sharing app last month, when TheSpAndroid spotted code within the app that suggested it was working on an app called TikTok Photos.
But now, it looks like this app is getting closer to an official launch and could be a serious competitor to Instagram. TikTok Notes will likely already have all the photos that TikTok users have already shared by default (given that most users are participating), which will help it not have to attract an initial user base.
