OZ-IT brings a unique AI surveillance system, PaintCam Eve, that uses paintball to deter would-be robbers.
A Slovenia-based company called OZ-IT recently announced PaintCam Eve, an AI surveillance that anyone can use in their home for added security. PaintCam Eve uses motion detection and facial recognition to protect your home from would-be intruders. What sets PaintCam Eve’s AI system is its ability to fire paintballs at anyone who enters a property without permission.
“Experience absolute peace of mind,” states the website . Eve offers homeowners a “perfect combination of video security and physical presence.”

Additionally, to address concerns that the system could accidentally target someone, such as a neighbor or a courier, the company says the AI system will leverage live video streaming in the user, as well as a facial recognition technology system, which will allow specific people to pass unscathed.
In the promotional video for the PaintCam Eve, there appears to be a mix of automatic and manual viewing capabilities. At one point, Eve warns an intruder, giving them five seconds to leave the property. When the stranger doesn't comply, Eve fires paintballs at them.
“If an unfamiliar face appears next to someone familiar—perhaps your daughter’s new boyfriend—PaintCam defers your instructions,” reads a section of the product’s website.

At the moment, we don't know detailed specifications nor the price and release date for this particular AI paintball surveillance system. OZ-IT says that Eve will include all the essentials for smart home security, such as storage and playback capabilities video.

One of the key advantages of the security is the use of artificial intelligence. AI can recognize and interpret human behavior, allowing for automatic threat detection.

Additionally, the use of paintball as a deterrent provides a non-aggressive, yet effective solution to deter violations. It is something that will surprise the perpetrator and may make him flee.
Finally, PaintCam Eve’s ability to automatically activate and react to potential threats can provide an additional layer of security. This can be especially important in situations where residents are unable to immediately react to a threat.
