An ad ad supporting the implementation of the death penalty for homosexuals appears to be published on the social networking platform X , and Elon Musk is accused of approving them.
The ad, published this month by a Christian blogger named John White, details the country's original laws regarding homosexuality and provides links to another publicationthat laments their repeal.

“England and the 13 colonies imposed the death penalty for homosexual relations between men,” White’s ad reads. “From 1789 onwards, homosexual acts were outlawed in all 50 states, with this law remaining in effect until 1962…”
A link in the ad takes users to another post by White, where he cites a verse from the Bible that calls for the execution of gay men as an argument for reinstating such laws. “If a man sleeps with another man as he sleeps with a woman, both have committed a heinous act and should be executed,” White says.
"God's law is just," he added.
The ad managed to pique the interest of many users on the platform, including Eyes on the Right, an account dedicated to documenting far-right content on X.
In an interview with the Daily Dot, the user said he discovered the ad under a post by podcaster Tim Pool. In the post, Pool expressed his opposition to “weak men with feminine characteristics” who “support birth control.”
According to its official data, the ad has already been viewed more than 333,000 times. Other users who came across White's post also expressed surprise that X would approve such content as advertising material.
Another user says “I literally get an ad calling for the execution of homosexuals,” one user wrote. “What the hell is wrong with this app.”
Many wondered about the real purpose of the ad, as it didn't seem to highlight any specific product or service. However, users on X have the option to boost their tweets to increase their accounts' reach, without necessarily promoting a specific service.
Many users expressed their support for the message conveyed by the ad.
“I totally agree, the world has really gone haywire,” said one respondent. “People have the right to choose their own way of life, but their influence has become invasive, reaching into our schools, our children, our government and our military, going beyond what is permissible.”

The Daily Dot attempted to contact White via an email form on his personal blog with questions about the ad, but did not receive a response before publication . Company X , which does not appear to have email address, has yet to respond to the criticisms leveled against it.
The ad follows the platform's acquisition by billionaire Elon Musk, which has led to a surge in extremist content. As the Daily Dot reported last year, Musk's platform even offered special subscriptions to users who had the letter N in their nickname.
