In his newsletter today, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman noted that iOS 18 could be the most significant software update in iPhone.
According to Gurman, some Apple employees predict that iOS 18 will represent the “biggest refresh ever” for the iPhone operating system

iOS 18 is rumored to bring new AI to Siri, Spotlight search, and various Apple apps, including Apple Music, Messages, Shortcuts, and more. Additionally, the update is expected to add RCS support to the app , with possible design changes.
Apple CEO Tim Cook has repeatedly said that the company will announce more details about its artificial intelligence efforts this year.

Specifically, Apple plans to announce the new software update during its annual WWDC developer conference in June, with the update becoming available to all users around the end of September, around the same time that the new iPhone 16 models will be released.
