Musk announced last week that had found a new CEO for Twitter. In that, the first tweet she had simply mentioned that she was a woman and that she would take over in about 6 weeks. Soon after, reports began circulating in the media, claiming that Linda Yaccarino was the woman who was in talks with Musk for the CEO position. The billionaire had been working himself as the CEO of Twitter since he acquired it last October. However, on Friday he confirmed the recruitment of Yaccarino.

[Musk's] ambition to build a better tomorrow has served as an inspiration to me for a long time. I'm excited to help Twitter bring that vision to life and to transform this company together!", Linda Yaccarino said in a tweet. Previously, Yaccarino worked as chief advertising at NBCUniversal, which is owned by Comcast Corporation.

The Yaccarino stated that it is committed to the future of Twitter and that user feedback is essential for the development of Twitter 2.0. Linda Yaccarino's experience in advertising could perhaps be of great help to Tiwtter, as the company struggles to reverse the decline in revenue from ads, while at the same time suffering from various other problems.
