Instagram is testing a new feature that will let you access Reels you've recently shared with your friends. This feature simplifies the process of reposting a Reel to another person, allowing users to share content effortlessly.

Recently, Dijital Ağlar, a Turkey-based account, shared a post about Instagram’s exciting new feature: It showed that Instagram is showing a row at the top of DM messages labeled “Latest Shares.” Screenshots posted by the account show that shared posts will also show the avatars of friends you shared a Reel with. If you share a short video multiple times, it will only show it once with the avatar of the friend you last shared it with.
“We’re excited to announce our latest updates, which will make it easier for you to search for and review Reels that have already been shared in messages ,” a Meta spokesperson told TechCrunch. However, the company didn’t clarify whether this feature will also show other non-Reels posts in the recent shares. It also didn’t provide details on the rollout timeline.
It's obvious that Instagram has invested heavily in short videos in recent years, and this is evident from its announcement that any video shorter than 15 minutes will be shared as a Reel post.

Last week, Meta said it would discontinue its creator bonus program for Reels in order to place a greater emphasis on alternative monetization, such as ad revenue sharing.
